And I couldn’t believe it was happening, but you looked at me so genuinely. You saw I was happy, and you were happy for my happiness. You put asides so many memories, so many obstacles, and you saw me, just me. And for once, I felt proud to know you. Instantaneously, I forgave you and myself for all the mistakes we had made, and I knew that was finally in the past. No words, no actions, just a look, and I knew what it meant.
Life is a winding row, but I think I’m finally somewhere I like, somewhere I can sit and enjoy the scenery before I take off on my journey.
